Glipizide for diabetes w/heart history ?

Good morning. . .I have a history of skipping beats and had a heart attack caused by a spasm. Am now on Norvasc and Zebeta "just preventative". My diabetes doctor just prescribed for me to discontinue Starlix for my diabetes and start Glipizide. . .I have heard that with this medication there is an increase of heart attack risk. . .I don't need anymore risks. . .has anyone heard of problems ? Is anyone on Glipizide with heart history ?? Thanks for your input.
