This patient support community is for discussions relating to heart rhythm issues, arrhythmia, irregular heartbeat, implanted defibrillators, pacemakers, and tachycardia.
Recently I have been feeling discomfort due to arrhythmiasArrhythmias, especially at night. Had a couple of unpleasant episodes when I felt really weekly and unwell. I am going to contact my doctor to let him know about the results of my HolterHolter monitor (24h), but can you tell me are they really bad? Is ablation treatment likely in my case? I am 42 years old female. don't smoke or drink. been taking beta blockers.
My results:
125981 QRS
hR MAX 213 MIN 51
6145 single premature supraventricular contractions (depolarisations?)
238 tachycardias
18772 ventricular contractions including 9887 premature ventricular contractions
12 Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia
The details are a bit more than most of us have in our heads, even if we've been through the same test/recording.
The numbers do sound troublesome to me, just a guess, but for sure discuss them with your doctor. And remember, you quality-of-life is a key element in you treatment. It may be that your measurements say everything is benign, i.e., nothing needs to be done to preserve life, but if you are very uncomfortable you should be given some helpful treatement of the symptoms.
