Have I reattached my ECG wrong after a shower?

I'm wearing a 14 day ECG event monitor, where I have to press a button whenever I feel symptoms. Yesterday when I pressed the button, it made a specific beep, and then another beep a few seconds later. Today when I press it, it's making a completely different noise, one that I associate with technology saying "negative" or "not working." (A quick low pitched doorbell sound) I don't know anything about it so I don't know what noise it's supposed to make, but it's definitely different to before. I had a shower yesterday where I removed it and reattached it to new adhesives, so I wonder if I've done it wrong. I won't be able to phone and check because it's late on Friday, and they won't answer at the weekend. I don't know if there's anything else I'm supposed to press, and it will be a waste of wearing it if it's not working. Any help is appreciated!

It could have been full?  Or battery may be running out.  You would have to wait to talk to the doctor's office but there should be no reason you can phone the recordings in.  That should always be an option since those long term recorders only hold so much so try calling it in and see if you can clear the device.
