Heart Block

Hi, I was diagnosed over the last week with heart block, at least type II; I was lucky that I already have a pacemaker implanted.  If anyone has any experience with heart block I would greatly appreciate any input on related topics.  I have long-term chronic afib with a few ablation surgeries but this is a new diagnosis based on an EKG during a few days I spent in the hospital due to the symptoms feeling different than usual.  Thanks, Shawn

I have a 3rd degree or complete heart block.  I had an AVJ ablation about 15 months ago because of my rampant AFib.  I had a pacer implanted 4 yrs ago because I had one too many brady events.  And  3 weeks ago, I had my second pacer put in.  I have had multiple left side ablations for AFib and am enjoying the less frequent bother of AFib.  I would have the AVJ ablation again in a heartbeat if given the choice.  I am 100% paced now.  When I go into AFib, my pacer will pace me out of it.  With this second pacemaker, I have found I have more energy which is GREAT.

What else do you want to know about heart blocks?

Are you having SSS (Sick Sinus Syndrome)?  When I have tachy, the pacer will switch the mode and pace it out.  When too slow, it can top it up.  When block, it'll start pace like mad.  I also can feel my heart "Stop".  My cardio said it's pretty normal.

Hi, I got a complete heart block because my lead was leaking.  I'm wondering if you're being paced.  How come still can get heart block?  Something wrong with your pacemaker?
