Background: I am a 25 year old female, 130 lbs, 5'3", don't smoke, could eat better, could exercise more. Since I was about 17 I have experience fluttering sensations in my chest (usually right between breasts under breastbone). I have had an echo done, EKG, holter monitor, stress test, and blood work done. My doctor says she is not concerned that it is a cardiac problem. However, some days recently I have experience a "flutter" every 5 minutes! Usually accompanied with these flutters I burp alot, have heart burn, and have acid regurgitation in my throat. I am wondering if the flutters are causing the acid reflux, or if the acid reflux could be causing the flutter? Could they be related? Do I still need to worry about a heart condition? Are they heart flutters at all, or esophageal "flutters?" Any advice?
