I am a 22 year old female, and my doctor just found a heart murmur. Ive never had one before. I was recently in a car accident. Could this accident have been the cause? A semi truck ran a red light and smashed right into my door, crushing me on my left side, breaking a rib and my shoulder blade.
There is no way for "us" come to a conclusion on a relationship between an auto accident and a heart murmur. Has you doctor suggested any relationship?
A heart murmur is very common and I believe mostly asymptomatic and not dangerous. Any concern you have about the murmur should be discussed with your doctor...it is my guess that the advice will be to forget about it and go on with your life.
