Heart Pains

Hi there, I have been getting stabbing pains, just under my left breast, should I be concerned that this is my heart?

Concern seems appropriate to me, see your doctor.

There are many things it could be besides the heart, so a general practice, or family care doctor would be a good starting point I believe.

Hi i too read your post.  I see that you are a female in your 30's so if no other symtoms (symptoms) are present with this pain it could be totally hormone based here because our bodies as females really begin changing at that stage of the game.  It could be anything from muscle if you work out or work if you repetively use your left side, to a little infection, the list goes on and on and on.  If there are no other symtoms (symptoms) with this i would do as Jerry says and make and appt. with your family doc.  The heart is dead center and slightly to the left of our chests.....but better to be safe than sorry Lou...a simple call to your family doc should clear this up...good luck to you my friend.....
