Heart Palpitaions

Hello, I've been having really strong heart palpitations for almost three years now. They all started after I ended up in the hospital for a week with pneumonia and a fever of over 104. I wore a 24 hour heart monitor and nothing at all showed up on the test results, which I find odd, because I felt them all the time. I even had an ekg and echo cardio tests done and nothing. So I've been on meds for them and they helped a little now they are back.

It makes me wonder why nothing showed up on the 24 hour test? I find that very odd.

Thanks

I too have experienced this. I feel a slight bump in my chest but holter says no arythmia. Maybe its gas, but Im leaning towards that its the heart.

Agreed, maybe it isn't your heart, maybe a chest or back muscle twitch(s).   The EKG and Monitors detect electrical signals, not muscle movement.  So it appears to me you are getting some muscle activity without any heart electrical signals...says not heart, or maybe a new one, heart muscles twitching in the absence of any beat signal.  Unheard of to me, until now..if that's what it is.
