Heart Palpitations and Other Symptoms

I have periods of heart palpitations.  I sleep well, try to get exercise 3-4 times a week.  Also having joint and spine pain.  Also a symptom I've had since I was in my 20s (I'm 46) is after a little exercise, the muscles that were working have tiny twitches.  They are small enough so you can't see them, but there are hundreds of them for about 20 minutes.  I get the same thing if I'm driving down the road with the window open and the wind is hitting my scalp.  I will get the twitches all over my scalp for 20 minutes after it stops.  I'm tired all the time.  I feel like I'm a motor not running on all cylinders.  Any Dr. I've seen for any reason I explain this, but all say they don't think it is relevant to what I'm there for.

Are you on prescription (or other) medication(s)?  Many heart palpitation medications, such as beta blockers, can make one feel tired, fatigued... even dizzy. One has to seek a balance between getting some relief and not being worse off due to side effects.  In my case I seem to be adjusting to beta blocker side effects, except for the dreaming if it is even related.  

If you're on a high dose (to me that's over 50 mg of toprol or equivalent) it may be you need more time to adjust, or perhaps a lower dose or change to another medication.  Being tired all the time is a real "hit" on quality of life and at 46 you should have many years ahead of you to try to enjoy.
