My wife has had Ablation 5 days ago and feels like a new person She is still on Toperol and Amiodarone they said this will be for about a month and then the last thing to come off will be Warfarin in three months . Is this normal for all you having ablation.?
That sounds about right for the meds. I don't have fisrt hand experience, but from what I've read these types of meds should not be abruptly stopped, need to taper them down slowly.
This is one area where I think docs tend to ignore too, so you might want to bring it up with them. If they ask her to abruptly stop them, ask about a slowly weaning off them (tapering) because she might experience rebound-type symptoms.
