Heart disease after gastric bypass

I am a 47 year old nurse who experienced 2 syncopal episodes.  I was diagnosed with idopathic cardipmyopathy.  I have pvc's and vt.  My dad dropped over dead at 48 with cardiac something....be it electrical or CAD.  My 50 yr old brother was diagnosed with a fib and was successfully cardioverted.  They have placed a ICD because of the syncope and my EF is around 30%.  I am on toprol and lisinopril.
I am often tired and just feel blah.  I am often SOB, and i get pooped from exertional activity.  I loved being active.  i am wondering if this will get better as time goes on.....or do i have to be a couch potatoe?  I get very tachycardic when i hike, waterski, split wood and mow grass too quick.  I am really bummed.  I have had 4 hospitalizations in the past year, and it really has me down.
I am wondering if the bypass triggered all of this?  I lost 100 # in 18 months only to have cardiac trouble.  No one here seems to think it a problem, but it just seems odd to me.  thanks so much for your time.

Have you tried to build up your strength through regular exercise, say walking for 30-40 minutes to start and then building up the effort level with more hills or faster speed?  

The best I can tell, many people with arrhythmia problems are able to build the physical endurance through regular exercise.  I have some physical stamina problems myself, and am still struggling getting myself into a regular exercise regiment to see if I can build strength.
