Heart flutter lying down
I developed a irregular heartbeat approx. 2 months ago. Now it hardly skips at all, but when I lay down at night and go to sleep I wake up during the night  with a flutter in the left top of the chest, I can move around or turn over and it will leave immediatly. This might happen 2-3 times per night. During the fluttering my pluse stays normal. I have never had any type of heart problems no blood pressure, or cholesterol problems. 66 yr. old male

If this happens often, it would be worth checking with your doctor.  It may be necessary to wear a monitor while you are sleeping for the doctor to reach any diagnosis.
