Heart jumps.

Hello, I am hoping to resolve this situation re my heart. I have read here of people with the exact same thing as me. Difference being I have been on  Fleccainide Acetate, 150mg. I also take atenolol if I need to.
I have the heart skipping a beat during the day sometimes , but mostly at night when I am very tired and wanting to fall asleep. I t stops me from sleeping , and sometimes speeds up to beat quite fast, but in rhythm. I cough and it returns to normal. I am beginning to think it ia anxiety related, but I dont want to take more pills! I have also had a couple of episodes wher I have felt inside my heard was shaking, very weird! I have looked that up and a lot of people have had that as well. Just so over all this, and it interferes with sleep and a good nights rest. I wake up tired and also have had a stress headache with dizziness for 3 days.
Been still getting hot flashes, and am 59. Help!!!

If you have an anxiety problem I think you should consider getting treatment for that to see if it helps.  Treatment can be both chemical (medication) and consultation.  It that helps and you can get off of Flecainide you'll be better off.  Flecainide is powerful medicine.  May people have troubling side effects, not sure if the ones you mention are on the list of possible side-effects, you may want to check.

Thanks for your reply! I spoke to the cardio man, and am satisfied it is not the medication.
I see a neurosurgeon Monday for Vertigo  symptoms , and i am hope ful i can manage these symptoms with physio/meditation.

if they find no neuro connection; ask your cardiologist for a tilt table test to rule out ANS issues which can be heart related or just simple vasovagal responses (which it may be since you can cough and it returns to normal)
