by the way, I had a few panic attacks in the past and most of them came after breakfast or lunch. I have that "panicking" feeling aswell, like something is not right with my body after eating.
Hello, I have exactly the same problem.
If my heart rate before eating is (let's say 70) and I eat something heavy, it can go easily to the 100's-120's.. the anxiety about it makes it even worse. I would say that the HR increases about 10-20 BPM after eating in my case, and anxiety does the rest.
Hmmm, I don't think you can click on my user name and find my posts. To summarize, it's a combination of the blood supply concentrating itself in the intestinal track as part of the digestive process. Also, there are metabolic responses to eating too. Things kick into high gear to get the food processed and eliminated. If you notice your HR will increase a bit with a BM urge. This is all part of the process. Also, some people are sensitive to the vaso vagal response.
Pretty common - I posted this same question several years ago. You can click on my user name and find answers from several people. Also, I believe there's a response from a Dr (when Dr's actually responded in this forum...)
