Heart

I am 77 years of age, have SLE, thyroid problems, liver problems, etc., and I had a holter monitor for 24 hours.  It said I had 18 exytra supraventricular beats in the 18 hours., most of which were single isolated PACs.  Also have minimal ventricular ectopy. I take digoxin for atril fib and it seems to control the problem.  I also have a mitral valve prolapse and heart murmur.  I am to have a stress test.  Are these numbers normal.  I am also a diabetic and have numerous medical problems.  I walk  between 2 and 3 miles a day.  Mow with push mower, do weed eating, all gardening, housecleaning, cooking, and am very active, although I am also very tired, just to stubborn to slow down.  I am also under a great deal of stress as my husband is in very bad health and I am caretaker.  Do my moniter numbers sound okay.

PAC's, like PVC's, I believe are not dangerous in small amounts.  Everyone gets occasional PVC's.  I have about 10,000 PVC's a day which is still at the not dangerous level.  However, I am not sure what implications this has with associated heart problems.  Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
