Heartrate changes.

What would cause your heart rate to be high one week and low the next.
Example:  One week it will run around: ~130/85  HR 96-101  then the next week it will run: ~103/65 HR 53-59?

Has anyone out there experienced this before?  The numbers are not drastic but the old symptoms of heart palps, chest pains and lightheadedness are coming back.  Just curious.

Are you having any anxiety issues?  It looks like you are on a beta blocker.  I take Atenolol 25 mg a day for fast heart rate.  The reason I say anxiety is I recently purchased a new car and the anxiety that hit me after I realized I will owe for 4-5 years and wondering if I made the right decision increased my heart rate and blood pressure slightly.  I think I had been getting better as I was exercising and blood pressure and heart rate were improving and I went and gave myself anxiety issues over this car.  Not a good move.  But I am dealing with it better now and feel a little better currently.  Hope you feel better and best of luck.

My body is crazy.  I can understand why ones HR would go up or down either way.

I can't understand both ways though (high and low) under the same situations on different days of the week!

One day on the rise and next day falling doing the same thing each day?  I know it sounds totally crazy.  I don't get it either.  As I mentioned earlier the numbers would not bother me; except for all of the symptoms that have been occurring do bother me on a daily basis anymore.

Any comments please on this craziness would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comment.
You have on there that your HR goes to 150 on the stairs?  It sounds like you need some BP meds yourself.  You look like your in pretty good shape and you are young.  The Lopressor that I take usually keeps my BP down.

My main question was more on the resting HR. "  Example:  One week it will run around: ~130/85  HR 96-101  then the next week it will run: ~103/65 HR 53-59?  "
It usually runs ~115/73 HR 75.  (Due to Lopressor, Diazide/Maxide - keeps it low.)

I go back next month for more blood work and will talk to her about it then.  My story's a bit long, but, I guess I have just been a bit concerned about old issues.  I drink a lot of water when I'm outdoors, and rest when I get too lightheaded.  Just starting to get a little frustrated again I guess so I thought I would ask.

While your outside doing work I don't imagine it should drop to the low 50's. I could see it jumping to 140 mowing grass, my heart rate goes to 150 just going up a flight of stairs.

It looks like your taking alot of prescribed drugs, I would definitely call your doctor and let him know what your feeling and tell him the same thing you typed up there.  It is probably nothing serious but you should def look into it, it may be side effects of the drugs or it could just be something as simple as dehydration.

Hope everything is ok. :-)

Hi.  I know these numbers are not really that bad; but, the symptoms going along with them are getting worse.  I can be sitting and have sweat roll down my face when I'm not hot.  I will feel my face and it is actually cold to the touch usually, though warm now.  I was checked and it is not a change of life thing.  My BP is 131/86 HR 77 right now.   It usually runs ~115/73 HR 75.  If I'm working (Ex. cutting grass) my HR will jump to 140-165 within minutes or drop to the low 50's.  Could this be normal?

My question is as mentioned above.  What could cause both.  The heart palps seem like they are happening now when my BP is down, chest pains, a burning in my throat, lightheaded, blurred vision at times, etc.  The numbers would not bother me but, the symptoms do. ????

I take a number of drugs, the main ones are: Lopressor, Diazide/Maxide, Lipitor, and Levothyroxine.

Any comments would be great.  Thank you.
