Hi,
I support the answer above 100% (great answer, Sian =)
A possible problem is your average heart rate. It is above 100, which possibly implies your heart rate at daytime is above 120. Did you have high anxiety levels during the test?
If not, you may possible have the condition inappropriate sinus tachycardia, which should be treated. It's not healthy to have an average heart rate above 100 for a long time.
You could discuss medications with your doctor, like a small dosage of beta blockers, if your heart otherwise is structurally OK. It often helps on the SVT too.
Many of the PVCs can be "wide complex" PACs that the Holter interprets as PVCs. And even if they are PVCs, this is completely normal. Nothing to worry about.
How is your blood pressure by the way?
Hi there!
I am excatly like you! Recently turned 22.
I have been to ER three times because of SVT.
I had lots of double beats and supraventricular beats during my monitor. Max was 180bpm in my sleep I believe.
I am having an EP study and an ablation tomorrow!
A PVC is a Premature Ventricular Contraction. It's a premature beat that originates from the bottom part of the heart, being the Ventricles. Basically it just throws a beat a bit earlier than it is meant to, but this is benign and you shouldn't worry about this.
18 PVC's over 24 hours is absolutely nothing to worry about. A lot of people on this community have thousands a day! Majority of the general public have PVC's.
If you have lots of PVC's in a row, then this needs to be looked at. But if they are isolated, I would not worry. =] But of course always discuss these things with your doctor.
I have the same symptoms as you do. My HR is always 90 - 110bpm. It occasionally decides to behave for some reason, but it doesn't last! I get chest pain and dizzy spells, headaches.
You're not alone =]
I'm here if you need someone to talk to!
