Hemochromatosis and PVCs?

by kukufxr, Mar 17, 2009 11:01PM
Curious if others with PVCs have been diagnosed with hemochromatosis.  H is a common genetic condition causing iron build-up in the body, and can cause damage to the heart.  Arrhythmias are commonly reported with it.  My PVCs began about 5 years ago and increased in frequency to a present 8-25 per minute.  Pure conjecture on my part that the PVCs increased as my iron load increased.

You are the first I've read to bring up hemochromatosis, so it is a new one on me.  Your speculation seems to be consistent with possible organ problems associated the condition.

I wish you the best, and from the brief research I did I didn't find any reference to a treatment, cure.  Hope I just didn't find it.
