High heart rate

Hi, I am a 17 year old boy who was normal. One day I took a panic attack (I think), ever since every single bit of exercise results in high heart rates. Just getting up out of bed it rises to at least 120-140 and when I even try to run it goes to about 160-180 easily within seconds. I have been to a cardiologist and he said that my heart is completly fine and all the tests I had came up normal with my heart. Would anyone be able to help me please, I am running out of options.

Very healthy heart.  Not sure why you think it's busted.  Be concerned when it doesn't respond that way.

These sorts of things can be hard to diagnose and figure out.  The good news is your heart is structurally fine so what is going on isn't a danger to you.  When you say you had a panic attack one day what happened?  What symptoms did you have?  What were you doing before the symptoms?  Was your heart beating faster than what you relayed above?  If so what was the rate?  Does it feel like when it happens it starts and stops in one beat?  Have you had your thyroid tested?  There are a number of things it could be so you have to just rule things out.  First start by cutting caffeine and energy drinks.  Make sure you drink lots of water.  And go and get a blood panel done to make sure your thyroid levels are in line.  After that try to keep a journal about your symptoms noting as much about them as you can and go back to the cardiologist to try and pin down what might be causing the high heart rate if your thyroid has been ruled out.  In any event, we sometimes have to do some digging to figure out what is wrong.  Take care and best of luck getting a handle on it.
