After two years of looking for a diagnosis for the pulsing in my ear I went to a third doctor, eye and ear specialist, who did a CT-scan. He discovered I have Superior Canal dehiscence. I suggest everyone on this look it up. I have a hole in my ear canal. I am scheduled for more testing. Living with this noise is driving me crazy. I believe the fix is surgical. I will know more in a few weeks.
Do you have an understanding of what pacemakers are used for? They are used for people when their heart rate is too slow or if they have complete AV block, which this report does not indicate. The indication for "too slow" usually should include symptoms but it seems your mom isn't reporting any symptoms.
Anyways, that decision comes from the doc. This board is made up of anonymous patients, none of us are experts. This isn't a good place for a second opinion. One could make arguments both ways based on this info. For one thing, the minimum of 37 and average of 61 is quite low, but if your mom isn't reporting symptoms from this, I think the recommendation would be not go with a pacemaker.
