How do you cope with panic attacks

I'm interested to know how rhythm disturbance suffers cope with the panic attacks that their condition seems to also bring on. Stu has been doing the holding his breathe for as long as possible and also cold water shock, jumping into and out of  our lake which is about 4-6 degrees celsius. He's wondering about yoga and medication although he's already on anti depressent and sleeping tablets. Thanks donna

Hi Donna-lee!

I would encourage Stu to start some kind of meditation/relaxation technique. Yoga would be fun to give a try. He needs to pratice whatever it is everyday for a few weekss and see if it helps. There are a lot of benefits to practicing it both physically and emotionally. If it doesn't work or doesn't work as well as he would like, he could go see his doctor about supplementing it with some other medication. However if it works well, maybe he wouldn't need any more medication. Just my thoughts. Good Luck!
