How do you manage to work with pvc's?

I know that a lot of us get pvc's, I've had them on and off my whole life but the past few months they've gotten bad. They've been determined benign but they feel awful. Every time they happen, it feels like I've been shocked all over and my breath gets knocked out. I haven't been able to work because of it. How do you guys manage to work with these, and to live normally? I'm scared to do anything.

It is very hard to do, but don't focus on them and ignore them the best you can.  Like Michelle said, do not let them take over your life.  I have thousands a day and the days I am focused on something else and engaged I don't notice them but occasionally.  If I start checking my pulse and worrying, I'm setting myself up for a LONG day.

Unfortunately I don't know that there is a clear answer.  They can be distracting and the best advice is to try and pinpoint possible triggers for yourself.  Try to avoid heavy meals, caffeine,  sugar and carbohydrates, spicy foods.  Try to stay well hydrated as dehydration can cause more premature beats as well keep sodium to a minimum.  Try to maintain healthy blood pressure.   Manage any stomach issues like acid reflux and if you have anxiety or stress work on those as well.  These are the biggest triggers and if you can minimize them you may be able to help alleviate the  extra beats.   If your electrolytes are not in balance that could be part of the problem so if you haven't had a blood test recently then maybe get a blood test to make sure all is in order.    Other than that do your best to force yourself to ignore them.  Our brains are creatures of habit.  The more we focus on things the more attention our brain gives it.  Our brains really don't sort out what is healthy or unhealthy thought.  It just responds from habit so get determined to not let the pvcs take over your life no matter what.  When one happens just refuse to dwell and push on with what you were doing and maybe with time your brain will put less focus on them and the sensations you feel with them will fade to the background.  Take care.  I hope you can findrelief.  Keep us posted on how you are doing.
