How to switch from amiodarone to multaq safely?

Diagnosed with paroxysmal afib in November 2016, got hospitalized, heart rate was 170 before I was admitted, initially they put me on atenolol and plavix but that didn't work... Had another episode of afib December 2016, once again was admitted into the hospital with a high heart rate of around 170 again... Besides the rapid heartbeat both times I was admitted into the hospital I also felt dizziness, lightheaded, lethargic, and disoriented..they took me off atenolol and plavix after the second episode of afib in December 2016 and put me on amiodarone and eliquis and aspirin..they want me to switch from amiodarone to multaq but I have gotten contradicting information on how to do so from my current  EP and the other one I had and my cardiologist is telling me something different about how to safely switch from amiodarone to multaq so I am very confused and I am interested to see what anyone would have to say to what I have written and maybe can give me some insight on this subject.. Thank you.
