Hypothyriodism and missing heart beat

I have just been told a have an underactive tyriod, my doctor told me it was on my med record since 2006, only just been told. The reason i went to the doctor was due to the fact that i have been suffering from regular 'missing heart beats', can be 4 times an hour.
Can my heart problem be to do with my underactive thyriod not being treated....what should i do next?

Its possible its due to thyroid, and also not.
I would have your t-3 and t-4 done...then I would research before jumping in to being on meds the rest of your life, but you need to see an endo (I think) and discuss it with them. As to the pvcs. the best thing to do is have a 24 holter and let the cardioloigst look at it. How many, where are they coming from, etc.... Then they will tell you can either live with them or if they are not benign, they will talk to you about your choices. Research everything..because not all doctors really care about you. Some will just toss drugs your way even if you dont need them, and some will push for invasive things if you dont need it. Research is your best friend...then you can have an intell coversation with the doctor...at least on your end if nothing else. (sorry...not very chipper today about doctors)
