Hypothyroid/PACS

This is a repeat question as I did not get any replies to my previous post on this matter. Does anyone know if being hypothyroid can cause heart palpitations and extra beats? I have tried to research it online and can't find much. Thanks!

Hi,

I have wondered that myself. I went to the doctor for PAC's and they did blood work and found out I was hypothyroid and I had no idea. I have been on the thyroid replacement pill for almost 2 years and I still get them from time to time and have other crazy symptoms. Sorry I wasn't much help...but, at least I moved you back up the top. lol :)

Not sure this helps, but I read where palps are a possible side effect of thyroid medicine (if you're taking more than necessary). Seems to be more associated with HYPERthyroidism....If I find anything helpful, I'll pass it along.

Have you checked out the thyroid forum?
