Important Question

I had an ablation for pvcs month ago after eating dinner couple nights ago my heart rate went up to 100 to 120 beats a minute just sitting around for about 4 hrs is this not possile with ventricular ablation, Doc said I could get arrhthmia of some sort, but said nothing about messing up resting heart beat, is this even possible, also did it yesterday. very concerned.

After my ablation I had a bit of racing and was told to expect it.  Sometimes it happened at rest and sometimes not.  Did not have any other symptoms and it was short lived. You may experience some weird rhythms while your heart healing and that can take two to three months.

Hi krue,

I noticed no matter what I was doing.  I would stand up and slowly walk across the room....zoom!!  It was weird since I was not used to a fast HR at all.  I would think a big meal could produce the same effect.

Beside the increase in HR, how have you been feeling?

Did you notice an increase though after eating a big meal? Doesn't do this particularly if I'm excersizing which seems odd.

I had 2 ablations for pvcs and had an elevated resting heartrate after each procedure. It returned to normal within a couple of months.
