Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia

I believe that I have inappropriate sinus tachycardia accompanied by shortness of breath and chest pain? Does anyone else have this? I would appreciate any comments.  The ER dr suggested a heart cath which I really don't want to do. EKGS, stress test, labs, chest cat scan, all normal.  Only thing that helps is ToprolXL.  Thanks!

I was just recently diagnosed with HyperAdrenergic POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome).  I was having tachycardia everytime I moved, even at rest my heart rate was at 100.  I also have tremors and high blood pressure with movement.  They believe that I got it from a virus.  I was sick and in the hospital for a week with a virual infection and then the tachycardia started.  It kept getting worse and I couldn't do anything without having my heart race, short of breath, and the tremors.  There are other kinds of POTS, I have a rarer kind which causes the high blood pressure.  Some people have low blood pressure with their POTS.  I hope this helps or gives you another avenue to check.

I was just recently diagnosed with IST. I had the EKGS, stress tests, labs. chest cat scan, and then came out normal. I then had a halter monitor to wear and they originally diagnosed me with SVT. April 18 I was cathed and they did an EP  study and were going to do an ablation. They discovered that it was IST and didnt do the ablation. They are now trying to figure out what to do next. I today just had another episode of what felt like heart palpatations and shortness of breath. I think it was my body slowing down after a stressful situation. due to my job as an EMT and a firefighter i often run into fast moving situations. I was wondering if you had episodes like that and what your doctors told you. Thanks!!!
