Incomplete RBBB

My 23 year old daughter was taken to urgent care after fainting, where she was diagnosed with Incomplete Right Bundle Branch Block and vasovagal syncope. She has had fainting episodes sporadically (last one 4 years ago). They have been less frequent as she's gotten older. Her ECG was reviewed by an electrophysiology specialist to make the diagnosis (there was originally some concern about Brugada's, but that has been dismissed as a diagnosis). However, there has been no other recommended follow-up, such as an echocardiogram or any other screening. Do you recommend that some additional follow-up should be done?

Until I flat lined while on the monitor all my visits and numerous tests were normal. Many visits to er with same symptoms of fainting or shutting down. Finally they diagnosed me with sick sinus syndrome were my heart rate drops to 30 when I fall in deep sleep. Pace maker was the only option. I was shocked that it took 25 years to figure the problem.. I don't mean to alarm u but insist on a 30 day monitor maybe it will catch something. Good luck and God Bless.

Hello...

An incomplete bundle branch block is not a serious problem in and of itself, many times there are no related symptoms and it is an incidental finding.

I think that your daughter should have a followup  and probably an echo to rule out any congenital abnormalities (such as an atrial septal defect) that may be associated with incomplete RBBB.

I always believe that it's better to ere on the side of caution. If nothing is discovered you'll feel better knowing that her syncopal episodes are not related to some underlying problem.

Best of luck to you and your daughter:)
