Inderal LA Side Effects

Inderal LA Side Effects

On January 18, 2011, my doctor put me on Inderal LA 60 mg because a stupid doctor upped my thyroid medicine too much and my heart rate and BP went off the chart.  I have not taken any thyroid hormone since January 18th.  While the Inderal has helped lower the BP and heart rate, I am having significant side effects from it and just wondered if others had experienced the same thing.  I am quite fatigued but the most disturbing thing is I'm having very vivid and scary dreams.  Has this happened to anyone else?

Forgot to add that I was having lots of PVC's in the last several months and the Inderal has seemed to wipe them out which is wonderful!!!!!!

I was also on Inderal abouit 5 years ago and also became super tired to the point all i wanted to do was sleep.  I had to go back to my heart doc and he switched me out for a lower dose beta blocker.  It is super common on any beta blocker to have very vivid dreams and nightmares and i think its safe to say that most people on this site that have been on beta blockers experience them.  I am now on a low dose of antenolol which keeps everything at bay for me and man o man could i tell you something about the dreams that i have.  It seriously feels like i am just living inside of them while i sleep.  All perfectly normal ....ultimately it would be up to your doc to change you out to a different med but make absolutely sure that you do not suddenly stop taking any beta blocker thats a huge no no because we have to be wearned off of them or we open ourselves up to a world of trouble..........good luck and no worries...........its normal i think

Thanks so much for your reply.  I took it a little earlier in the evening last night and didn't seem to have such horrible dreams.  At least I don't remember them.  I go to the doc tomorrow and I hope he says I can wean off of this.  I've only been on 18 days so I hope its not a long process to get off.  The tiredness and serious brain fog and feeling of not being "all there" is a disgusting side effect.
