Intra Atrial Septal Aneurysm
I was recently diagnosed with an Intra Atrial Septal Aneurysm. I have many symptoms all day long, including: shortness of breath, heart-pain, heart burning, chest pains, dizziness, black spots, rapid heart beat and so on. I am scheduled for a TEE and bubble study. For the past 4 years I have had these symptoms but the previous cardiologist felt that it was insignificant. He saw the Aneurysm but thought nothing about it. I am a 38 year old female, who is desperate to feel better.  My new cardiologist feels that my symptoms warrant more tests, can this be corrected?  I have had Lyme Disease in 2003 with encephalitis, still not well from that. Is there any relation between the two? Thank you, Kim

Have you tried doing a search here on medhelp for Intra Atrial Spetal Aneurysm? I believe there may be some older posts on this subject -- possibly in the Heart Disease Forum -- and while they may not answer your specific questions, they may provide you with some additional information.
