I feel like I'm coming down with something, so I have been taking Emergen-C (has 1000 mg of Vitamin C,in addition to other vitamins). Since then, I noticed that my heart seems irritated. I'm not having PVC's, but a feeling of my heart beating irregularly. I can't lay on my left side at all, as I feel a vibration/swooshy sound in tune with my heartbeatHeart palpitations Ultrasound, normal fetus - heartbeat Ultrasound, ventricular septal defect - heartbeat.
A 1000 mg dose of Vitamin C doesn't strike me as a "mega-dose", but as it is the only change you know of before the heart symptom, I'd consider dropping,or at least cutting back on, the vitamin C for a few days and see you condition improves.
It may be worth the effort to do a search on the web for key words like:
Vitamin C overdose, Vitamin C large dose. Maybe you can think of some better word/phrases to search on. Here's another, Vitamin C side effects.
Wishing you improvement before Christmas day.
Jerry
