Irregular Heartbeat (Not PVC)

by *Robin*, Dec 23, 2008 05:19PM
I feel like I'm coming down with something, so I have been taking Emergen-C (has 1000 mg of Vitamin C,in addition to other vitamins). Since then, I noticed that my heart seems irritated. I'm not having PVC's, but a feeling of my heart beating irregularly. I can't lay on my left side at all, as I feel a vibration/swooshy sound in tune with my heartbeat.

Could this be from the Emergen-C? That's the only thing I've done differently. If not, any opinions on what could be causing it. I just had an EKG a couple days ago at my doctor's office which was supposedly normal.

Thanks so much!

A 1000 mg dose of Vitamin C doesn't strike me as a "mega-dose", but as it is the only change you know of before the heart symptom, I'd consider dropping,or at least cutting back on, the vitamin C for a few days and see you condition improves.

It may be worth the effort to do a search on the web for key words like:
Vitamin C overdose, Vitamin C large dose.  Maybe you can think of some better word/phrases to search on.  Here's another, Vitamin C side effects.

Wishing you improvement before Christmas day.

Isn't this the product that you mix with water and it has lots of other vitamins in it as well. The reason I ask is because if it is, it is designed to also help the adrenal glands and that could certainly cause your heart to act up. Vitamin C is also an Adrenal Gland supporter, and if it is not working up to par, it could be "waking it up" so to speak.
