I did not like the side effects of the beta-blocker either. My doctor prescribed 10 mg pills of Inderal (sp?) (Generic is propranelol -again, not sure on spelling). They help with those little adrenaline (sp?) rushes.., (is there a spell checker on here somewhere? LOL) but the dose is so low that I don't feel the tired, run-down feeling that I felt with the 40 mg dose.  Dr. prescribed to take 1 and wait 30 minutes to an hour.., if the symptoms have not stopped then take another one. I think some of us are very sensitive to medications.., you may want to ask your Dr. about a micro dose, it works well for me.

Let' see:  adrenaline (yep, that correct)..how do I know other than to have learned the spelling?  I know it is (most likely) spelled correctly because my browser (Firefox, same with Explorer) didn't put a red squiggly underling under the word. If it did, I'd do a "right click" on the word and my browser would give me its guesses on what I was trying to spell, from which I can make a selection with a left click on the word I want to substitute.   This give correct spelling for most of my problem words.

As for you medical post, sorry I can't help as much.  I take rather heavy doses of Metoprolol  (which my spell check shows as misspelled, but it isn't), but at the 200 mg level it can cause some dizziness.
