Left bundle branch and general anesthesia

I am considering having back surgery (laminectomy) and am concerned about having general anesthesia with a left bundle branch blockage. I am a 52 yr old female, otherwise healthy. Only med - levoxyl.

First, Second and Third degree block is normally refer to av block.  Bundle Branch Block I haven't heard a degree yet.  It is either right or left OR imcomplete RBBB or LBBB.  Might be you're right, if both RBBB and LBBB happened at the same time, it also called complete heart block.  A lot of websites explain those terms.

I got RBBB when I was young.  I got LBBB when pacemaker pacing at the right ventricle.  When my pacemaker fail then I realized I got complete heart block.

When I was diagnosed a few years ago I was told 1 degree is not a concern, 2 degrees "some" concern and 3 degrees (need a pacemaker)

I was told that a BBB just means that the electrical impulse makes a slight detour when going from the top of the heart to the bottom. This means a slight delay.

Hope I'm remembering this correctly!

I don't know what degree I have. It was diagnosed about 14 years ago, but I have never seen a cardiologist, just family doctor. I do know that I'll need a complete physical
before the surgery, so I'll try to find out what degree I have then. Didn't even know there were degrees.

Your surgeon will probably need a clearance from the cardiologist.  I have a one degree left bundle branch block and it has never been a problem.  Maybe it depends on what degree of blockage you have?
