Lipomatous Hypertrophy of the atrial spetum

Lipomatous Hypertrophy of the atrial spetum

MY echo report has read that I have lipomatoushypertrophy of the atrial septum...I have been reading and it seems to say this can result in sudden death..I am wondering if this is rare that sudden death can occur...and if these fat cells can grow if I maintain a healthy weight?

Should also note I have a bicuspid aortic valve also just found on this echo....so I am really freaking out that I have 2 heart conditions?

Please someone make me feel better

Roxy you really didn't give us alot of info except for your diagnosis...the only ones that can really make you feel better are the heart docs and obviously it sounds to me like you are suffering from an acute case of lack of information here.  You need to make and appt. w. the heart docs and before your visit sit down and write out questions 1-20 or whatever and ask every single one of them my friend and make the docs accountable to answer every single one of them.  Ask them for example. 1.  What is this exactly in laymans terms what is happening with and within my heart. 2.  What are my options for correcting it. 3. What should i be aware of feeling that could be serious 4. What should i avoid 4. Will i live a normal lifespan. 5. etc, etc, etc.  I think once you are armed with information about exactly what is going on with you that you'll be able to deal with it alot better because it like being afraid of the dark when we can't see and are scared of what may be there...same theory....Two heart conditions?  Trust me i think most people on this site have at least that and possibly a couple more on top of it that they;ve had to deal with......get the answers trust me at least you'll know what you are fighting against to get proactive to fix it if at all possible....stand up for you and get the answers......
