Long Term Freon22 Inhalation Exposure

I was exposed freon 22 due to a cut hose in my trucks cab. I had burning eyes and sore throat. A/C went out about a week later then was refilled. At that time I was over come by the fumes with heart racing and choking. I had skin burns under my nostrils. I went to ER and was given mucinex and other RX's.  I had palpitations off and on since the exposure but they got so bad I one day I thought was having a heart attack(2yrs later) I found out I have heart arrythmia and pericarditis. I also have had 2 episodes where I try to inhale and I feel like I am being stabbed in the lung. Dr RX steroids and running other tests. I want to know if I could have incurred long tern damage to my lungs or heart because of freon exposure. I have researched but cannot find any answers. Thank You

I am not a doctor, but I have not heard of a correlation between freeon and heart/lung problems.  When you were first exposed to the freeon, what did the doctor say with regard to potential damage?  Was there a period in between where you felt fine?

Are you taking antibiotics for the pericarditis?  What type of arrythmia have you been diagnosed with.  Sorry so many questions but it helps to put together a better picture of what's going on.
