Long term med use ?

I am trying to find info on long term use of beta-blockers and other meds.  I have been taking beta-blockers for twenty years and on Flecainide at 150mgs 2x day for thirteen years. The Flecainide has worked wonders for my V-TACH I have not been shocked from my ICD in thirteen years now.
Is there a study on long term use of our heart meds ?

As far as I can tell, in reviewing several articles relating to the use of beta blockers, there are no harmful effects of long term use of beta blockers.

If patients are, or become sensitive to the drug and experience negative side effects, discontinuation of the drug is necessary.  However, in those who tolerate the medication well, long term indications are actually positive, showing that long term use can actually increase the efficiency of the heart muscle.
