Low Blood Pressure

by GreeneyesNemo, Jun 22, 2009 11:27PM
My blood pressure is 85/60 and pulse is 56. I feel tired, get dizzy when standing up and it takes me forever to lose weight no matter how little I eat or how much I excercise. I have been to several doctors and they dont have a straight answer for me. Any advise?

Are you on any meds that take you there?  This is a cardiac arrhythmia forum.  Being heavy on the beta blockers and calcium channel blockers will certainly cause that.  Then, the easy answer is to lighten up on the meds.  My bp is is usually about there too- and a rate of 60 (which is my minimum paced rate).  Tired and dizzy and hard to lose weight... but I can't lighten up on the meds.  Then the rhythms go crazy.    Otherwise..??? caffeine, lots of fluids, a little salt....??  There are  a few of the tricks I utilize when my pressure plummets.  Does it ever go into the 70s and even the 60s.  Have you got your thyroid checked?  Hope you figure out something.  I know it's not easy.
