I have been very and unusually relaxed these past few days, since I've had time off from work due to the holidays and my wonderful wife taking some of the holiday duties off my shoulders shoulders intensive treatment Shoulder arthroscopy Shoulder pain dealing with these overwhelming sensations of fearFears and phobias this past half year. I have a Blood Pressure Monitor that I use from time to time to check my BP & HR, and I've done this to track progress of my diet and nicotine free lifestyle, and I'm noticing a downward trend in BP and HR just sitting in the recliner watching TV in the late evenings. I"m not sleeping, but my BP is around 128/77 with a HR of 55. The HR of 55 is quite low? I do not have a overnight monitor to check what my lowest sleeping rate is, but could this be a sign of having bradycardia? I know its not life threatening. I smoked for about 15 years. Am I just not used to the slow HR and Low BP? Weird.... Zach
Look like good/great results to me, congratulations.
While 55 is a low rest HR, it isn't "too" low. It does suggest a strong cardiovascular system, were you athletic, say a long distance runner or biker, in your past?
In any case, don't worry about the HR/BP while sleeping, your awake numbers look great, enjoy them when you think about your heart, and have a Merry Christmas eve and day tomorrow.
