Mitral valve prolapse

by prshack, Aug 30, 2007 09:23AM
I have recently been diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse. Is it okay to exercise (i.e. aerobic) or will it make my condition worse? If it is okay, what types of aerobic activity might be the best option for me?

Thank you!

Mitral valve prolapse is harmless in the vast majority of cases.  It's little more than a normal anatomical variation.  Exercise won't hurt you and in fact will probably make you feel better.
