Monto, hi,this is hansonkay. Just a quick question. Would having thyroid trouble, plus chronic acid reflux have any thing to do with my daily, extremely often pvc's? My apt. with the EP. cardiologist is Sept.8th. They had no earlier apt. I will keep you informed after i see him. thanks , kay

Hi Kay,

I'm not that familiar with how the thyroid or acid reflux directly affects PVCs.  It makes sense that acid reflux could be a contributor since the digestive system runs along the same physical space as the heart and its major vessels. I'm not a doctor, but I've read where a lot of posters have GERD and PVCs.

I've also seen quite a few post that suggest thyroid problems could also be a factor.  Then again, there are a TON of things that can trigger PVCs so it's hard to say for certain.  These are great questions for the EP.  Hang in there, avoid caffeine, get plenty of rest and try not to be under too much stress.

Hi!!
I have Thyroiditis and my Cardiologist and Endocrinologist say it could DEFINITELY be a contributing factor to having PVC's. My PVC's started when I was diagnosed with highblood pressure and thyroiditis and I definitely believe that one or both contribute to my PVC's. That and the never ending anxiety!!! Hope this helps a little.
