Hi, I am a 53 year old miracle. I have them only I have other issues as well. These skipped beats are scary at times. But listen to what your Dr. is tellling you. Many of them are benign. A good rule that I do that help is coughing!
It is called cough CPR. When you feel these beats, just bend over and force a very strong cough. This causes increased pressure inside the chest many times converting your rythum. I currently have a defibrillator due to the strings that I have. I can walk across the room in a rapid rate. When I feel it happening I will force a cough and it is gone! My defibrillator has hardly gone off in the last 25 years because I cough them away. (it has treated me with a shock 2 times in the last 25 years) I either did not know to cough at the time or the one time, I needed more. I have converted it myself many times. My prayers to you. Be in peace and know you have some control with coughing. And it works slick.
I get them alllll the time! They are so scary i agree, but trust me if there were something wrong with your heart they would have definitely found something by now. I feel a skipped beat then BOOM a big thumpy beat right after the skip. Sometimes they make me shake really bad. Ive been to ERs, countless doctors, no matter what all they say is anxiety. Now im on my path to dealing with this anxiety. You really need to tell yourself that you are okay and that if your heart was in danger a doctor would have found something. Your heart is the most important muscle in our body and if there was anything wrong with it our doctors would be able to tell right away. My prayers are with you!! If you have any questions id love to help, ive had these beats for years now.
Hi there.... Skip beats are very common in people of all ages. They can be part of the normal heart function. You have seen your doctor, your ECHO came back good so the skips are very much most likely benign. Talk to your doctor about it tomorrow, tell him what you are feeling. He may again put you on a beta blocker which in some people can help them not to feel the skip beat(s) or he may simply tell you to ignore them as most doctors do with a normal echo.
I am thinking he will give you a 24 hour holter monitor which will record your heart beats for 24 hours. It can allow the doctor to see exactly what you are feeling.
Good luck!
