i would still get it checked out. but when i was pregnant many years ago the doctor was checking my BP and said"does your heart race"? to which i replied "no but it is now" I was sent for cardiology tests and the results came back that yes arrhythmia can often happen in early pregnancy. for me things settled down and everything was fine. hope its the same for you and you can enjoy your pregnancy.
I would agree that you should ask for a holter monitor and/or an event monitor, as well as a referral for a cardiologist visit.. This will help determine the diagnosis and how to handle it.
I would not be surprised if you are having benign palpitations, as I believe it is common to get these during pregnancy. But get it checked out.
Feel better!!
Hi,
Why don't you ask your Doctor about this? Despite the findings at the Hospital, I would imagine that your Doctor would be willing to address this. If you get these feelings everyday, your Doctor could order a Holter Monitor for you. You wear the monitor for about 24 hours, and turn it in the next day. The monitor results are analyzed and compared to a log book you are asked to fill-in of symptoms and activities that occurred while wearing the monitor. This way they can see exactly what was going on at that time, rhythm wise.
Be well.
