My heart rate is faster this week, is this normal?
Im a 20 year old girl, and i usually have a resting heart rate of around 75-80, its a little fast i know, but all of a sudden this week i've noticed it beating at about 90-95, and this is when i'm sitting and doing nothing. I do suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, but i just want to know if my heart rate will eventually go back down to normal. I've had ekg's and echo's in the past because i have palpitations, and everything is fine, i'm healthy, but i can't get this out of my head. Should i stop worrying? Is this normal?

Mine fluctuates too.  Some weeks it's 70-75, others it's 55 - 60.  I think these are natural fluctuations either in hormones or other body chemistry.  Even men get hormone rise-falls though our fluctuations are spread out over greater periods of time.  Other influences on your resting are what you've eaten, when you ate, time of day, stress level.   For instance, after you eat your heart rate will naturally increase to aid digestion and absorption.

You are a young woman under stress...search the web for anxiety and palpitations.  your pulse rate will go down if you relax and focus on something other than your pulse rate.  I too can be sitting doing nothing and heart rate increases dramatically.
