Myocardial Perfusion Results

Findings : Stress LV EF is 60%  Stress EDV is 80mL and ESV 32mL

Impression:  Anterior wall ischema.  Anterior apical wall infarct. No segmented wall motion abnormalities.

What does this mean?  Had two stents 2 years ago.
I am thinking asking for heart cath?  Dr. put me on Plavix after this.

Going back in a week to ask follow up questions.

The imaging test can miss blockages.

I had a nuclear imaging stress test with mixed results:  EKG portion was positive for ischemia, but the imaging portion was negative.  No areas of perfusion were found, and risk=0 score was assigned for that portion of stress test, leading to overall "moderate risk" score.

One month later I had a cardiac catheterization - found significant blockage in all three main coronary arteries, and needed bypass surgery.  My surgeon said my areas of perfusion (limited blood flow) were very well balanced around the heart, and so they didn't see anything on imaging stress test.

The frist part refers to the left ventricular ejection fraction.  60% is good.  The second part are the measurements that went into calculating the ejection fraction.  You can google left ventricular ejection fraction and find explanations and diagrams that do a much better job than I could explaining it further.

anterior wall ischemia refers to a section of the heart that seems to be not getting enough blood supply.  Infarct means they think there was an event that caused permanent damage.  the way the muscle is squeezing seems to be normal.

These are all great questions for your doctor.  please ask them again, and get a second opinion if you see fit.
