Neurocardiogenic syncope

Hi, I have recently seen a consultant who says my symptoms ( sweating, dizziness upon standing for extended periods, chest pain, headaches, need to lie flat when I feel an episode coming on) as classic symptoms of Neurocardiogenic syncope. I am booked in for a tilt test and echocardiagram and dont really know what to expect. Could someone please explain - good and bad about both procedures please

Tilt test is explained here  http://www.heartsite.com/html/tilt_test.html

I haven't had one done but some others in the forum have. Echocardiogram is basically an ultrasound of the heart. You lie on the table and the tech uses an ultrasound machine to scan your heart. More info about that can be found here

Both tests are non invasive and painless :-)
