I avoid the word "normal" because I'm not sure there is such a thing. I know we'd all like to have "perfect" hearts that never act weird but it just isn't reality. I'd say that people having some ectopics is considered typical, not unusual, average, what other words can we think up? I do hope your doctor will be able to explain it in such a way that you'll feel better about your heart.
Just to add, studies have been done in which about 5% of the general population had more than 300 PVCs in 24 hours. If you combine PVCs and PACs the number is probably significantly higher.
Hi Andrew,
It sounds within the boundaries of normal to me. All isolated PVCs and I know 300 per day feels dreadful but it would probably be classed as occasional ectopics. I had 520ish on one of mine and it the report said 'very occasional isolated PVCs, essentially normal'.
