I have been having some chest pains recently, which are concerning me. They are about an inch and a half to the left of the center of my chest, and sometimes an inch and a half to the right of the center of my chest. They seem to be right below where the start of my pectoral muscles are.
They are there off and on throughout the day. They don't seem to get worse with excercise, and occur even if I am setting completely still for an hour. I have had them to a varying degree now for about 3 weeks. They seem to be getting a bit worse. They seem to be originating from a specific, somewhat small area.
I have no other symptoms when experiencing this pain. My heart appears to be doing its regularRegular insulin thing. I even had them to a lesser degree the day I was doing my stress test. They didn't seem to get worse even when I got my heart rate all the way up.
Can pain that doesn't seem to get worse due to excercise still be heart related? I am at a loss to explain it, other than it might be being caused by the way I sleep. But it is starting to worry me quite a bit.
Chest pain can be muscle, not heart muscle, related. But, I think you should review the list of symptoms for heart attack and go to ER if any of them show up along with the chest pain. No one is too young to have a heart problem, even attack, so be safe.
You may benefit from taking an aspirin a day with a meal, unless your stomach doesn't handle aspirin, I do fine with a half aspirin every morning. I suffer from AFib...I have never had a heart attack.
