Odd heartbeat

I'm 23, hypertensive and being currently treated by a nepherologist, and starting about two months ago I noticed I had this weird arrythmia that only occur at night. I would wake up and wouldn't be able to breathe correctly, be panicked, and feel like I'm dying. This would last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours pending on how nervous or scared it made me. I now get the abnormal heart rythym during the day and during the night and it comes out of nowhere! I exercise every other day and it happens after I exercise, it happens if I get too worried, if I think about it too much, or if i lay on my left side.
Could this be panic attacks in disguise? Or just abnormal heart rythm?
I am going to the doc next week but I would like to be prepared.

Oh, and I have had an EKG on my heart around 1 year and a half ago and the technologist said my heart was fine.

I cannot tell you what your arrythmia is but you should be checked out.  One thing that happens to me at night, is when I am in a bit of a scrunched position, I can feel like I cannot breathe right.  I have to lay flat and sometimes almost arch my back a little.  I have had this for many years.  I think it is panic when my scrunched position aggravates my ventricles.  (They can be irritated easily in some of us.)

I did visit a doctor back in the end of July. I was diagnosed with having GAD-generalized anxiety disorder and with panic attacks. I've been put on buspar along with HBP meds and haven't had a problem since!
I do see a therapist now as well.
