Out of curiosity (i.e palpitations)

Have you experienced these type of palpitations before?

I just finished my dinner (steak, mushrooms, boiled egg, sausage, spring onion).  And out of no where my heart beat hard or skipped (palpitation) About 5+ in a row, and it really hurt and made me get up.  Really scared me, i have experienced these types before.  But when i mentioned the *hurt* to my cardio he said they should not hurt? What could this of been?  My pulse afterwards was fine. Not due to see my cardio untill december for reasurance once a year.  Am not taking no medication!

Thanks in advance.

sounds a bit like sleep anxiety, people wake up with their heart racing and in a sweat.

have you had your thyroid checked through a blood test?

this can make your heart act up,

i wouldnt take any meds either unless i couldnt live without them

It lasted probably about 5-10 seconds, i just shot up from my chair! Perhaps your right about the trapped air!

I only started seeing him because of palpitations, and i see him once a year for a check up and reassurance.  He did offer meds if i wanted but i refused to take them, I don't want to interfere with my heart in anyway unless absolute necessary.

I have never experienced these type of palpitations when i have been wearing a monitor.  I was just diagnosed with pvc/pac More pacs.

The above episode i experienced first hand when i was abroad and it woke me up, that is what prompted me to see a cardio.

if you get them in rows of 3 or more they call it NSVT if it doesnt last longer that 30 seconds.

if they hurt id make an earlier appt with cardio,

do you have a heart problem as you see him regulary?

palpitations are common after eating but im not sure why they would hurt unless there were a bit of air trapped i get that sometimes and that hurts

what has your cardio said about this?
