Hi, need to know if anyone knows what this can be a little worried it's afib,   Woke up to my heart beating hard and a little fast one beat right after the other , like beat beat beat beat , it scared me , I cough and it went right back to normal beats, it only lasted seconds,  I have never been told I have afib, have always been told it's nothing but harmless PAC, can this just be a long PAC taking place, if I didn't cough would it keep going like that,  this has happen before like every 3 months or so seems like I have a really long PAC , what do ya think,  thank ya

You can't be absolutely sure what is going on unless it's caught on a monitor or ECG.  However, if it was a regular rhythm it probably wasn't afib.

Sounds like the pesky PAC's or short atrial runs. To be absolutely certain, however, you would need to catch them on a monitor, have you worn a holter or king of hearts yet?

Doesn't sound like it but usually need an ECG to make the call.
